Lavanya Jain
Lavanya Jain (she/her) is a counselling psychologist, who has completed her Masters in Lifespan Counselling from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. Her therapeutic work is rooted in the belief that growth isn't always linear—it's often nonlinear, and deeply human. It can rise, fall, pause, and begin again. At its core, therapy for her is about meeting people where they are, with warmth, curiosity, and respect. She is a queer affirmative and trauma-informed therapist.
While she aligns with Person-Centered, Narrative, and CBT therapeutic modalities, she believes in integrating other approaches depending on each client’s unique experience. She practices in English and Hindi. In the past she has worked with children and adults belonging to diverse socio-economic demographics as well as concerns, thereby also recognizing the sociocultural context of each client she works with.
As an individual the world of art and literature is very close to her. When she is not working she likes to write, watching movies and Japanese dramas and attempting canvas painting for loved ones.
